Solo exhibition in Diaconessenhuis 2007 / 在Meppel市立医院艺术展览中心的个人画展 2007
2007 was my lucky year. In that year I went back to my hometown for the first time ever since I had left there six years before. Although a short stay for one month there had brought me nothing new or special, walking along the streets and roads in the city where I used to live and study did have brought me a lot of joy and happiness as well as intimacy, which had really left me a deep impression.
The first exhibition of my works in 2007 was held in Diaconessenhuis in Meppel. To me that was relatively a big solo exhibition. There were approximately 50 pieces of my paintings and prints on show in this exhibition. The opening ceremony was presided over and a speech was given by Mr. Alexader Pechtold , one of the cabinet minister of Holland as well as the leader of Party D66. The exhibition was successful.
